Specialist osteopath  in St Albans

About me

Since graduating in 1990, I have been working as an osteopath and osteopathic tutor at the Rollin E Becker Institute (REBI), a not for profit post graduate cranial faculty.

As an undergraduate at the BSO (British School of Osteopathy), I obtained a comprehensive understanding of body mechanics and a wide range of osteopathic skills. This provided a grounded approach to osteopathic assessment and treatment. After my postgraduate study, I returned to the BSO as part of the undergraduate and postgraduate IMS (cranial) faculty. During this 14 year period, I consolidated my clinical experience through my teaching. I and my colleagues established the first externally validated PG Dip. and MSc in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. Whilst no longer at the BSO, I have remained an active member of REBI.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to have worked with, and been mentored by senior members of the osteopathic profession and this has influenced my approach towards work. Like all Registered Osteopaths, I regularly attend Continual Professional Development (CPD).

On both a cellular and holistic level, I am fascinated by the subtle interactions that result from the gentle manipulation of the body, which promotes its efficient structural integrity to enhance function and comfort.

Currently practising in St. Albans, I provide patients with calming and relaxing osteopathic treatment, with an informal yet professional approach.
